This role can be fully remote in Australia or the United States, we have a physical HQ in Adelaide and teams spread across Australia and the US who sometimes collaborate in person.

‍Fleet Space Technologies vision from the beginning was to build technologies to help humanity explore and connect the Earth, Moon, and Mars. This led us to develop and launch one of Australia’s largest constellation of satellites, create our satellite-enabled mineral exploration technology (ExoSphere), and send Australia’s first seismic technology (SPIDER) to the Moon in 2026. The Role
 
Step into an exciting role where you'll be part of a team dedicated to our largest customers. Your mission? Identify new enterprise opportunities in our thriving verticals, grow existing top tier accounts and be at the forefront of driving our growth strategy for our tier 1 clients. This role is not just about selling; it's about becoming a trusted advisor to our clients and a key player in our company's success. Your mission is to identify and engage with high-potential prospects, leveraging your creativity and industry insight to build lasting relationships and drive substantial business outcomes.
 
We're looking for a Key Account Executive (KAE) who excels in a dynamic, high-growth environment and is seasoned in selling and scaling $multi-million customer engagements in a highly technical and pioneering landscape.
 
Main responsibilities:
  • Conduct in-depth research to map out and prioritise new opportunities within this client for ANT, Seismic and Broader exploration efforts.
  • Sales Process Leadership: Lead the entire sales cycle from initial contact to deal closure including discovery calls, facilitating workshops, presentations and negotiations.
  • Establish and nurture relationships with prospective clients, positioning yourself as a trusted advisor
  • Develop executive-level relationships within strategic, named accounts, positioning Fleet Space as a key partner in their operational strategy.
  • Source opportunities for thought leadership and represent Fleet Space+ at tradeshows and customer summits, articulating the unique benefits of our satellite and AI solutions to potential customers.
Key Skills and experience:
  • 10 years+ of relevant business development experience with proven track record of selling to exploration companies or within the mining sector.
  • Must have proven experience in managing and closing deals with contract values of $10M and above within the mining and resource industries.
  • Bachelors or Masters degree in relevant field; business, geological sciences, etc.
  • Experience with exploration technologies and software (e.g., GIS, remote sensing, drilling technologies).
  • Ability to discuss technical specifications and benefits of products/services with clients.
  • Ability to measure and report on sales performance and adjust tactics as needed
  • Confident verbal communication with the ability to present information to potential customers through sales presentations, workshops and public speaking at industry and networking events
  • Awareness of the competitive landscape and ability to position offerings uniquely in the market.
  • Capability to develop and implement strategic sales plans tailored to the exploration sector
